Olena Zelenska spoke online to the participants of one of the largest book forums in Central Europe - the International Book Fair in Warsaw, where our country received the status of an honored guest.

The First Lady noted that now Ukraine and Poland are creating history, about which books will be written later.

"During the months of the full-scale Russian invasion, you warmly welcomed and sheltered millions of our people, and today you receive our books just as warmly. And this is also very important for us. The aggressor has already destroyed 300 libraries, interrupted the work of dozens of our publishing houses. Just as our people fight for the right to live, so do our books. Today you will see at the fair 45 publishing houses from Ukraine, which, despite everything, continue to work. And Ukrainian authors continue to work in the same way, because it is the book – better than the media – that makes it possible to express everything that happens to people who defend their home and loved ones," Olena said.

The fair will host meetings with authors and publishers from Ukraine, as well as seminars, literary discussions and artistic events. This will allow guests to show the whole spectrum of modern Ukrainian literature. Literary events with the participation of Ukrainian authors and publishers will be held under the slogan "Millions of bridges". This name represents the deepening of ties between Ukraine and Poland and the continuation of work on a better understanding of each other's cultures.

During the online meeting, Zelenska appeared in a white blouse and a black jacket in white stripes. She gathered her hair into a neat hairstyle and did light makeup. Elena decorated her ears with laconic earrings.
