Heading into the summer season, the weather in Hong Kong is extremely hot and rainy, and the Observatory predicts that today (24th) it will be 23 to 28 degrees, with several showers of rain, and sometimes more frequent rain and a few thunderstorms in the afternoon. However, due to the influence of high-altitude anticyclones, the weather in the next few days, including the Buddha's birthday holiday, will be generally good. Until the weather changes again next week, affected by the sinking air flow outside the super typhoon Mawa, the observatory expects the weather to be extremely hot at the beginning of next week, and the temperature will reach a maximum of 30 degrees next Tuesday (34th), and the automatic zoning weather forecast shows that Liufu Mountain, Sheung Shui, Shigang and Ta Guling will climb to 2 degrees at 36 pm on the same day.

The Observatory predicts that this afternoon's rain will be more frequent and there will be several thunderstorms

As of 1 noon, the observatory recorded a temperature of 26.6 degrees, a humidity of 81% and a moderate ultraviolet index. Despite one or two showers of rain today and a slight drop in temperatures compared to last weekend, the three monitoring stations of Wetland Park, Yuen Long Park and Shek Kong still recorded more than 30 degrees at noon.

According to the observatory, a strong to strong easterly air flow is affecting the southern coast of China, while the sudden rain and thunderstorms associated with the low-pressure trough are affecting the Guangdong region. The Observatory predicts that today will be generally cloudy, with a few showers of rain, sometimes more frequent rain in the afternoon and a few thunderstorms, blowing and soothing easterly to southeasterly winds.

Zoned weather forecast Three districts in the New Territories are expected to reach a maximum of 36 degrees next Tuesday

The nine-day weather forecast shows that from tomorrow (25th) to Sunday (28th), including the Buddha's birthday holiday, there will be sunshine at some time, and there will be one or two showers or local rain. However, the weather turned hot at the beginning of next week, with the highest temperature next Tuesday (30th), reaching 28 to 34 degrees. If the automatic zoning weather forecast is checked, at 2 p.m. on the same day, the New Territories will rise to 36 degrees in Lau Fau Shan, Sheung Shui, Shek Kong and Ta Kwu Ling.

The next two or three days, including the Buddha's birthday holiday, will be generally good

The observatory said that due to the influence of high-altitude anticyclones, the weather in the northern part of the South China Sea and the coastal areas of Guangdong will be generally good and the weather will be hot in the next two or three days. The observatory expects Typhoon Mawa, currently located in the northwest Pacific, to move east of Luzon over the weekend, and its peripheral downdrafts will bring extreme heat to Guangdong in early to mid-next week.
