A herd of buffaloes jumped together in the swimming pool, had a lot of fun in the water

A video is going viral on social media in which a herd of buffaloes can be seen taking a dip in the new swimming pool of a house. According to the BBC report, 18 buffaloes escaped from a nearby field and took a dip in the Essex swimming pool in the morning.

Cctv footage captured the moment when the animal fell into the pool causing a loss of 25,000 pounds (Rs 25,00,000).

Andy and Lynette Smith, who are retired, told the Guardian that eight buffaloes fell into a 70,000-pound pool and caused a stampede that destroyed fences and flower beds. The animals were later rescued and unharmed. The incident took place in July last year.

"When my wife went to make morning tea, she looked out of the kitchen window and saw eight buffaloes in the pool," Andy Smith told the Guardian. "She called 999 and was told that the fire brigade does not accept false calls. It took a lot of persuasion to convince them to take us seriously. When they arrived, one of the buffaloes, panicked by their high-vis jackets, and ran towards them."

However, the situation was later brought under control, but during this time the buffaloes had caused a loss of Rs 25 lakh to the couple. A spokesperson for NFU Mutual Insurance said the claim has been "settled and paid".
