In the morning hours of this Saturday, May 13, the Training Ship "Simón Bolívar" of the Navy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela arrived at the Port of Havana.

Upon entering the port, 21 salvos were fired from the visiting ship as a salute to the Nation, which were reciprocated by an artillery battery of the Revolutionary Armed Forces from the Fortress of San Carlos de la Cabaña.

The crew of the Training Ship "Simón Bolívar" was received by flotilla captain José Luis Souto Galindo, second chief of the revolutionary navy.

The Venezuelan sailors will fulfill a program of activities that include courtesy visits to the Chief of the Revolutionary War Navy, the Governor of Havana and will visit places of historical and cultural interest.

The population will be able to visit the ship on the 14th, 15th and 16th of this month from 10 in the morning until 6 in the afternoon.

After leaving the Venezuelan port of La Guaira, this ship called "Ambassador without Borders" visited Barbados, then Saint Kitts and Nevis, from there to Havana, Cuba. It will continue its journey through Veracruz and Puerto Progreso, Mexico, and finally arrive in Cartagena, Colombia, according to the information offered by Aníbal Brito, general commander of the Bolivarian Navy.

According to Prensa Latina, the boat went to sea with 16 female and 35 male cadets for a total of 65, belonging to the Academy of the Bolivarian National Navy and the Technical Academy of the Navy, as well as other guests from the military academies.

The Twitter account of the press of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces indicated that the Simón Bolívar, during its 42 years of active service, visited 105 ports in 39 countries and sailed more than 396,17 nautical miles, the equivalent of circumnavigating the world <> times.

In the same social network, President Nicolás Maduro wrote that the Training Ship "carries high our tricolor flag with the message of Peace and respect, symbol of union and brotherhood among the peoples of the Caribbean, and the world"

Long live, the Ambassador without Borders! Long live, the Bolivarian Navy! Long live Venezuela!" he said.

Upon leaving Venezuela, the general commander of the Bolivarian Navy Aníbal Brito, announced that they will be returning to the country on July 8.
