The first group of 50 doctors and medical professionals began their training in emergency medical care by air on Monday, May 15. It will be held at the training base of the Military Medical Academy – Sofia, the press center of the Ministry of Health announced.

The candidates underwent all the necessary physical and medical examinations. The first group consists of 43 doctors, 8 resident doctors, 46 nurses, 5 midwives, 3 paramedics and 1 medical assistant.

They are from 17 hospitals, 4 centers and a branch of emergency medical care from all over the country. Doctors and medical specialists from Sofia, Burgas, Gotse Delchev, Montana, Panagyurishte, Pleven, Razgrad, Sandanski and Shumen applied for the training.

For the other candidates, a second group will be formed, which will start after the completion of the training of the first.

Again on May 15, by Decree No. 69 of May 4, 2023, the Air Emergency Medical Center (CSMPV) was established. The Rules of Procedure of the CSMPV are currently being drafted and are to be uploaded for discussion on the website of the Ministry of Health.
