The US State Department has approved an agreement with the Czech Republic worth $650 million to upgrade and repair AH-1Z Viper attack helicopters and UH-1Y Venom multipurpose helicopters.

APA reports that the Department of Defense Cooperation and Security of the US Ministry of Defense released information about this.

"The State Department has made a decision to approve the possible sale of the repair and modernization of the AH-1Z and UH-1Y aircraft and the supply of relevant equipment to the Czech Republic.

The United States plans to supply the Czech Republic with 22 engines, 14 navigation systems, 4 machine guns and 24 radios," the information states.

It is reported that the Czech authorities have asked the United States to buy equipment for the repair of six "AH-1Z" and two "UH-1Y" helicopters.

The USA plans to give the Czech Republic 22 engines, 14 navigation systems, 4 machine guns and 24 radio stations needed for military helicopters.

The package includes other communication equipment, electronic warfare systems, spare parts, as well as engineering, technical and logistical support services.
