The star flew to the "Big Apple" and also went out to attend a social dinner before the event organized by Vogue editor

in the prestigious Soho district on April 30.

On the way to the party, Penelope was photographed by the paparazzi.

The star was dressed head-to-toe in Chanel because she has been an ambassador for the brand for many years, and because this year's Met Gala theme is "Karl Lagerfeld: The Beauty Line."

Penelope Cruz wore a white long dress with a print, which she complemented with a velvet jacket with an appliqué in the form of diamonds.

She also wore black platform sandals, a blue Chanel bag on a chain, and earrings and a bracelet.
