Clean windows can let more light into your home and make you feel more connected to nature.

Washing the windows so that there are no streaks left on them is not the easiest task.

The managing director of a house cleaning company shared with Express.co.uk tips on how to clean windows like a pro.

He said it is often cheaper and more effective to make your own cleaning products than to use specialized window cleaning products on the market.

In addition, creating your own spray using natural ingredients will be less harmful to the environment.

And definitely cheaper.

Use white vinegar

A natural cleaning product that an expert suggests you use when washing windows is white vinegar.

White vinegar is a great natural option for cleaning windows because the acid in it helps remove dirt and dust and can dissolve stubborn water marks, soap scum, and other contaminants.

White vinegar is extremely acidic, which is why it is such a good natural cleaning agent.

It can dissolve unpleasant deposits in the shortest possible time.

Vinegar is known for leaving your windows sparkling clean and watermark free.

However, while white vinegar has some antibacterial properties, it cannot kill all the bacteria and viruses it encounters.

To make a cleaning solution yourself, the expert advised adding two tablespoons of vinegar and mixing it with warm water in a ratio of one to one.

A combination of vinegar and water can be used to clean interior and exterior glass.

Use purified water

Your windows will never look perfect if you don't use purified water.

Tap water will not work because it will leave marks as it contains more minerals such as calcium and sodium which leave unsightly marks on your window.

If possible, the expert advised using purified water.

When you need to wash the windows

The best time to wash windows is spring and fall, because in extremely hot or cold weather or when the glass is in direct sunlight, this procedure can lead to the formation of frost.

Where to start washing windows

It is important to start washing windows from the frames so that dirty water does not drip onto the clean glass.

Wash the frames in plenty of clean, warm, soapy water that can be mixed with dishwashing liquid, then wipe dry with a clean, soft cloth.

Then you can start washing the windows.

After the window frames have been washed, it's time to apply a natural cleaning solution to the panes.

How to get rid of divorces on windows

Spray the solution on the windows, then wipe the surface thoroughly with a microfiber cloth, not forgetting the corners.

As soon as the glass dries in a few seconds, take a second microfiber cloth and polish the surface so that there are no streaks left on the windows.

Always use clean microfiber cloths because they are lint-free and change them as soon as they get dirty.

Work in straight vertical lines from top to bottom, not circular motions.

You also have to work quickly when washing the windows, because if you drag out the process, you may end up with streaks.
