On the eve of the great holiday of the Resurrection of Christ, we asked the archpriest of the Poltava Diocese of the OCU of the city of Kremenchuk, Anatoly Kulish, what should be put in the Easter basket.

The priest noted that you can bring to the church for consecration paska, eggs, ham or sausage, and in no case can you take alcoholic beverages.

"Kahor or any other alcoholic beverages are not put in the Easter basket. In general! We put paska, eggs, meat products, cheese, salt, horseradish in the basket," Anatoly Kulish noted.

The archpriest advises to be modest in your choice of festive dishes, there is no need to prepare a lot of them.

It is better to donate this money to help our defenders to speed up the victory.

"This year, I advise you not to spend excessively on baskets, their decoration, and on the preparation of dishes for the festive table. In the period of war, one must be restrained, make balanced decisions. And, since the essence of Easter is not at all in the basket, but in the Savior, who has risen, then it is better to transfer the funds to support the Armed Forces through those funds that people trust," Archpriest Anatoly said.
