During the next control measures carried out by the employees of the Biological Diversity Protection and State Environmental Security services, illegal fishing persons were detained in the territory of the Mahmudchala Hunting Farm.

APA was informed about this by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.

Firuddin Aliyev, head of the Biological Diversity Protection Service, said that during the investigation, it was determined that the poachers were Mirgoja and Tahir Karimov, residents of Jalilabad district.

Banned hunting tools and 18 synthetic nets with a length of 360 meters were taken from them.

"According to the fact, legal measures have been taken against law breakers."

The head of the service noted that at the same time, a 432-meter-long synthetic net was removed from the area called "Little Gulf" of Kizilagac National Park during the control measures.

"We call on our citizens to actively participate in the "Let's clean the basins from synthetic nets together" campaign launched by ETSN, to provide information about the synthetic nets they find in the water basins to the Ministry's official social network accounts and telegram group by indicating the exact coordinates, and to support the protection of fish stocks."
