The Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Nape Nnauye expects to be an official guest at the Easter festival that will be held on April 9, 2023.

The concert will be held for free at the Leaders Club grounds in Dar es Salaam.

According to the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the festival, Alex Msama has said that Minister Nape has agreed to be an official guest at the festival which will be held after a six-year hiatus.

He said, his committee is continuing preparations for the festival which will involve various local and foreign singers in the country.

"Preparations for the Easter Festival are going well, so the residents of Dar es Salaam Region and neighboring Coastal and Morogoro Regions should prepare themselves to receive the message of the word of God through religious leaders and gospel singers," he said.

Msama has mentioned the artists who will perform at the festival from abroad are Masi Masilia from Congo Faustine Munishi from Kenya, Tumaini Akilimali from Kenya, Joshua Ngoma from Rwanda and Nicole Ngabo from Congo

In addition, local gospel artists who will grace the festival are John Lissu, Upendo Nkone, Mashamsham Band and Kijitonyama Evangelistic Choir.

He said, all the singers are ready and that this year's festival is not to be missed.

"Residents of Dar and neighboring regions should come in large numbers, this festival has not been held for a long time, about six years, security is high, we will cooperate with the Police Force."
