[Reporter Lin Minzhen/Taichung Report] Professor Wu Jianxing, Department of Electrical Engineering, National Qinyi University of Science and Technology, and team student Xiao Yuchen, professors Liu Xiaoquan and Xiong Keping from the University of Southern California, President Xu Jinchi of Changan Hospital in Taichung, and Ultrasonic Department of Radiology Department of Taipei Veterans General Hospital Department Director Zhou Yihong and others jointly developed the "Wireless Ultrasonic Capsule Endoscopy Imaging System" and won the gold medal at the 26th Russia Archimedes International Invention Exhibition this year, winning glory for Taiwan.

Wu Jianxing explained that this technology uses micro-ultrasonic capsule image detection technology, and uses the swallowing route to make the detection capsule enter the human gastrointestinal tract. Abnormal tissue, ulcer and polyp growth, and improve the defects of capsules without positioning system on the market, and help clinical diagnosis accurately.

Wu Jianxing said that after improvement, the test capsule can be equipped with auxiliary accessories such as insulin injection and electrical stimulation to help diabetic patients control blood sugar in the early stage, or urgently solve the life-threatening situation caused by gastroparesis in patients, and can also replace insulin. It will benefit more patients who need to take medicine for a long time and rely on painless injections.
