In carrying out the order of President Samia Suluhu Hassan to move specialist services to the people, Muhimbili Orthopedic Institute (MOI), has delivered specialist services known as Mobile Clinic to the residents of Mbagala.

In the Clinic held today at the Epiphany Hospital located in Mbagala Kuu, more than 500 citizens showed up to get services.

Speaking to journalists today in Dar es Salaam, the Director of the Epiphay Institute, Pharles Yikobela thanked the MOI for being at the forefront of supporting the efforts of President Samia.

"Today we are with doctors from MOI who have come for the clinic, we have expert doctors of bones, back and nerves and brain, I would like to thank our Raisa mother Samia Suluhu Hassan who has invested a lot in health," he said.

He said that they have built a hospital that offers various and good services and they have invested well, so the people should use those opportunities because tests are being done and treatment is being given.

Yikobela said that the problems of your bones are in a large percentage, where they are also among the leading diseases, so it is important to educate and follow the rules of road safety.

"We are asking other top hospitals to come down here to build experience for doctors in various hospitals, in order to support President Samia to ensure that the people get professional services," he said.

He noted that through the clinic they have many things to learn and it will build the capacity of their local doctors by gaining knowledge from MOI.

"We will imitate this example, we will go to the ground to provide services like this. We want this exercise to be sustainable at least every two months to serve the people of Mbagala, most of whom have low incomes," Yikobela emphasized and added that:

"And we see that the cost of seeing a specialist is Shs 10,000 but if you go to MOI the cost is more than that and if all the patients go to MOI it will be full, but if the services are available here it becomes easier for the community to get services in the environment where the citizens live."

The coordinator of the Young Clinic (mobile clinic) from MOI, Dr. Byrason Mcharo said last year they started the clinic and have visited various hospitals, while the goal is to have a car that will have all the services of bones, brain and nerves

He said that the exercise has started in the region of Dar es Salaam and they rely on going to Pwani and Morogoro but they also have a clinic which is called 'outreach' which is actually located in the regions of Tabora, Mtwara, Lindi where they want the services to go to every region in Tanzania.

"People's response is great for the first time we went to Zakhiem Hospital and we saw more than 400 people and Tanzanians accepting the service," he explained
