The preliminary investigation on the criminal case of Javid Mammadov, an employee of the Shirvanli Customs Post of the Northern Territory General Customs Department of the State Customs Committee (SCC) has been completed.

APA has obtained some details on the case.

According to information, Javid Mammadov committed illegalities in exchange for superficial and quick inspections at the post.

Javid Mammadov received a bribe of 240 manats and tried to take 400 manats as a bribe.

The customs officer was detained by the Chief Anti-Corruption Department under the Prosecutor General.

He was charged with articles 311.2 (taking a bribe) and 311.3.2 (repeated bribery) of the Criminal Code, and a pretrial detention measure was chosen.

The case will be investigated at the Baku Court of Serious Crimes under the chairmanship of judge Ahmed Guliyev.
