A woman from South Korea managed to pass her driving test on the 960th attempt, and her expenses to obtain a driving license amounted to the equivalent of 12,500 euros, reports Darik Business Review.

Cha Sa-sun, 69, first sat the theory part of the exam in 2005 and after failing, continued to sit every day five days a week for three years, making a total of 780 attempts.

At a later stage, he began to take the test only twice a week, eventually congratulating himself with success and then moving on to the driving test.

The woman managed to pass her driving test on the 10th attempt, meaning she took it a total of 960 times before getting her driving licence.

Despite many failed attempts, the woman did not give up because she needed the driver's license for her business selling vegetables.

According to some reports, she paid the equivalent of nearly €12,500 in exam fees to finally get her driver's license.

After her failed attempts, the woman became popular in the country and even appeared in a Hyundai commercial, and the South Korean car company gave her a brand new car worth nearly 13,000 euros.
