The Italian Economic, Trade and Cultural Promotion Office, the Italian Industrial Design Association (ADI) and the Taiwan Institute of Design jointly organized the "Italian Design Day" (Italian Design Day, IDD) series of activities.

[Reporter Tu Yingru/Taipei Report] The annual Italian Design Day, which is carried out simultaneously around the world, is held this year in cooperation with the Italian Economic, Trade and Cultural Office, ADI Italian Industrial Design Association and Taiwan Design Institute Next, it will start from April 25th in Taipei Songshan Cultural and Creative Park.

This year, the 7th Italian Design Day is an international themed event co-sponsored by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture. In the seminar, Taiwan-Italy designers from both sides shared in-depth discussions on contemporary design-related issues, and exhibited the rare "Italian Compasso d'Or Design Award Exhibition" in the E01 exhibition hall of the Taiwan Design Museum in Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, Taipei. "It's just a library" is accompanied by "Ciao Ciao Look at-Italian Children's Book Fair".

Founded in 1954, the Compasso d'Oro is the oldest design award in the global design industry. It is issued by the ADI Italian Industrial Design Association. Since its establishment, only 379 works have won the highest honor of the Compasso d'Oro Design Award, the design works that won the Italian Compasso d’Or Design Award are exhibited at the ADI Design Museum in Milan. The well-known award-winning works over the years include the rare super sports car Pagani Automobili, super heavy machine Ducati, Alessi classic coffee pot, Flos Classic lighting, Magis classic design chair, Driade aesthetic single chair, and the latest material technology and media communication design, etc., can closely observe these Italian dreamy design works, and it is a must-see exhibition for design fans.

From now until April 5, it will be exhibited in Hall E01, Taiwan Design Museum, Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, Taipei, free to visit.
