Smriti Irani recalled her TV journey

New Delhi:

Smriti Irani is a well-known name in the TV industry.

At the same time, he has a different identity in politics as well.

Even today, fans know her as Tulsi Virani from Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.

Meanwhile, he is in headlines for one of his statements.

Not only this, the actress has revealed that she used to get only Rs 1800 for her hit serial.

Knowing this, his fans are quite surprised.

Talking about her initial days in the TV industry, Smriti Irani recently revealed in an interview to Neelesh Mishra that producer Shobha forbade her to drink tea on the sets for fear of damaging the furniture.

He said, "You don't even look like a star, you look like a technician with that kind of lifestyle. I used to get ₹1800 every day. When Zubin and I got married, we barely had ₹30,000." I remember my make-up man, who used to get embarrassed and say, 'Gadi to lelo mujhe sharm aati hai main gaadi pe aata hoon aur Tulsi bhabhi auto mein aa rahi hai.',

Smriti Irani further told how she used to get annoyed seeing that actors were allowed to eat food on the sets but the technicians and crew were not.

Recalling an old anecdote, he said, a sound boy did not take a break even after 12-15 hours and I gave him tea.

But she refused to take it as they were not allowed to have tea on the sets.

So then I made an arrangement with the spot boy to keep 60 tea ready and when I go out he can drink tea.

I also used to travel like technicians, so I knew what they were going through,” Shobha Kapoor allowed the actors and crew to have tea on the sets only after seeing them outside having tea.

Let me tell you, because Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi started in the year 2000, which lasted for about 8 years.

At the same time, every character of this still rules the hearts of the fans.
