After the Patriotic War, in which the Azerbaijani Army won a historic victory under the leadership of the President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population continues to carry out large-scale social support measures for the families of martyrs and war participants.

APA was informed about this by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.

It was reported that these measures have already covered 123,000 people, and 276,000 support-oriented services have been provided to them.

Including:

• 115,000 social payments were assigned to 103,000 people, one-time payments were given to 17,028 people with disabilities due to military service injuries until August 2, 1997, and insurance payments were given to 3,400 people;

• Social payments aimed at families of martyrs and those with war-related disabilities and other vulnerable groups have been increased since the beginning of each year;

• The housing program for those citizens was expanded 5 times, and 4,500 apartments and private houses were provided to them, and 324 cars were provided to those with war-related disabilities;

• 11,000 people were provided with 40,000 social-psychological support and rehabilitation services;

• Services were provided to more than 2.7 thousand people in rehabilitation institutions, 1,903 people with war-related disabilities were provided with up to 34,000 rehabilitation tools, 406 people were provided with 423 high-tech modern prostheses;

• Employment of 17,200 people, including members of the families of martyrs and war participants, was provided, including 9,800 people involved in the self-employment program;

• Services were provided to 78,500 people, including family members of martyrs and war participants, etc. in the unified coordination centers.
