One of the joys of wearing an Apple Watch is changing various straps.

For many Apple Watch users, it is a great pleasure to change the watch strap according to the mood. Not only Apple original or cooperative watch straps are available, but there are also various styles in the market. However, a new Apple patent shows , the future "third-party watch strap" may be dangerous.
Apple recently passed a new patent. By embedding an NFC chip in the Apple Watch strap, it can be paired with the NFC chip in the watch, thereby bringing more applications, such as the dial can automatically change color with the strap.

However, it was also found that this patent hides a "dark conspiracy". Apple Watch can use this to detect non-original certified straps, and may warn or disable certain functions.
Apple has also restricted the iPhone in the past when it is in an unauthorized repair channel, or when an unofficially authorized battery is used, the system will pop up a warning.
But you don’t have to worry too much. Assuming that Apple’s patented application is really on the road, I believe it will not completely eliminate third-party watch straps. It should just be that some functions cannot be used.
