On March 24, ETSN announced information on the quality of atmospheric air.

APA reports that the monitoring of atmospheric air quality is carried out on a daily basis in Sabail, Khatai, Nizami, Narimanov districts and Sumgait, Ganja cities of Baku through automatic air quality monitoring stations.

"According to the analysis of the data we obtained from the stations, the amount of carbon monoxide was 1.6 times higher than the norm, and the amount of nitrogen-4 oxide was 1.1 times higher than the norm in the city of Ganja and 1.2 times higher than the norm in the city of Sumgait.

The reason for the higher than normal amount of carbon monoxide and nitrogen-4 oxide is the intensive nature of traffic and other anthropogenic effects.
