The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Local Government Accounts (LAAC), has congratulated Lindi Secondary School for the great progress in student achievement, especially in the sixth form.

They gave these compliments today Thursday when they visited the school for the inspection of the funds provided by the government for the purpose of renovation and construction of new classrooms.

Congratulating the Committee, the Chairperson of the Committee, Halima Mdee, said that she congratulated the school and all the teachers for bringing Lindi Region out of regions that were not respected in the development of education in this country.

He has said that the major changes in education, the strategies set should be developed and continue to give more strength to teachers, so that they can commit themselves more.

Initially reading the information, the Head of the School, Mwalimu Ramadhani Divelle, said Lindi Secondary School for the sixth form in three consecutive years, the academic situation during that period has done very well.

He said the results of the sixth form in 2020, the school had 204 candidates, of which 27 candidates passed the first grade, 130 candidates passed the second grade, 44 candidates passed the third grade and 3 candidates passed the fourth grade. that being 100 percent.

He said that in 2021 there were 173 candidates and among them 93 passed first grade, 53 second grade, 27 third grade, which is a 100 percent success rate.

"In 2022, the school had 232 candidates and among them 116 passed first class, 105 passed second class and 11 passed third class, which is 100 percent success," he said.
