A person who wanted to transport a large amount of drugs from Yardimli to Baku was detained.

According to the information provided to APA's Southern Bureau by the Lankaran Regional Group of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of the operation conducted by the Yardimli District Police Department based on the received information, Novruz Habibov, a resident of Masalli district, who was previously convicted under several articles of the Criminal Code, was arrested with a "Chevrolet" car. He was detained in Yardimli district.

During the inspection, more than 4 kilograms of marijuana was found and taken from the cargo area of ​​that vehicle.

According to the investigations, it was found that N. Habibov had to deliver the drug that he obtained online from an Iranian citizen to the territory of Baku city in order to organize its sale.

An investigation is being conducted at Yardimli RPS regarding the fact.
