The annual Mark Twain Award for Contribution to American Humor was held at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington.

Its laureate was actor Adam Sandler.

Former speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi

attended the event

She came in the company of her husband Paul Pelosi.

The politician appeared in a black zip-up jacket with a blue-silver geometric print.

She paired the top with straight black pants with arrows and black stilettos.

Pelosi did neat styling, make-up with burgundy lipstick and wore elegant earrings.

Paul was dressed in a dark gray suit, a light-colored shirt with a subtle stripe, and a blue tie with pictures of people on it.

He completed the look with a slouchy black hat.

We will remind, at the Vanity Fair post-Oscar party in Beverly Hills, Pelosi came in a gold dress from the Giambattista Valli brand with sequins and embroidered white and pink flowers and green branches.
