As the Embassy of Belarus in Hungary reported on its Facebook page, the historical story "The Wild Hunt of King Stakh" by Uladzimer Karatkevich was translated into the language of this country.

This is the first and so far the only work by Karatkevich available in Hungarian, the embassy notes.

The book has already been published by Aposztróf Kiadó.

The book was translated and edited by Ivan Horvath, Katalin Solantai and András Galo.

However, it should be noted that the translation was not made from Belarusian, but from Russian (that is, from a translation).

And the Uzbek writer Rysalat Khaidarova finished translating Karatkevich's story "The Gray Legend" into her native language.

"I was very impressed with the idea, form and style of the story.

Karatkevich described boundless love and freedom on a high note - I am convinced that the Uzbek reader must read this work," Risalat Khaidarova said in an interview with the newspaper "Zvyazda".

The translation is being prepared for publication in the magazine "Zahon lybada" ("World Literature").

The works of Vladimir Karatkevich have already been translated into many languages of the world: English, Bulgarian, Vietnamese, Georgian, Spanish, Latvian, German, Mongolian, Polish, Russian, Slovak, Ukrainian, French, Chuvash, Czech, Estonian and others.
