Recently, there has been an increasing number of cases of committing various cyber frauds using social networks.

APA reports that the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) released information about this.

It was noted that on those social network pages, using the names and logos of well-known persons and companies of the country, it is mentioned that there is a large amount of winnings in electronic lottery games, contests with a prize fund, the need to transfer a certain part of the winnings to the provided bank account in order to formalize the corresponding prize, and also enticing promises of investing in investment platforms and financial exchanges and receiving income in a short period of time are made.

The ministry noted that some people who believed in the said promises later became victims of cyber fraudsters.

"In order not to become a victim of such cases of cyber fraud, we urge our citizens to be vigilant when using Internet resources, including social networks, and not to believe the tempting offers of businessmen. If they encounter such cases, they should immediately inform the police officers, as well as the Ministry's official pages on social networks." - said the ministry.
