According to indicators per 100,000 population in 2015-2022, a decrease in the number of people suffering from tuberculosis was observed in Azerbaijan.
APA reports that Nehmet Rahmanov, head of the Department of Primary Medical and Sanitary Aid Organization of TABIB, said this.
According to him, according to the WHO, the number of deaths from tuberculosis did not exceed 1.4 million in the last 10 years, but during the period of COVID, it exceeded 1.6 million:
"This means that tuberculosis is an infectious disease that requires constant control and migrates.
Today, it is one of the most important health problems in the world, and it is the same for Azerbaijan.
As a result of the work carried out in this direction, according to indicators per 100,000 population in 2015-2022, the death rate in Azerbaijan remained stable."
