Dre's main character is obsessed with a fictional pop star (whose creativity and aesthetic is very similar to that of American singer Beyoncé) whose fan base is called "The Swarm".

The series is a dive into Dre's life, her fandom, and how it takes her to dark and unexpected places.

It will be recalled that Gloa's sister, Holly Bailey, shone at the Oscars in a soft blue tulle dress with bare shoulders.
