The sentence to the etiquette trainer and founder of the Astronim company was announced on March 14 in the court of the Moscow district of Minsk.

Oksana Zaretskaya and Bogdan Karavets were convicted for participating in unauthorized mass actions of the protest movement.

Both have minor children.

During the court arguments, the defense attorney emphasized that the violation of the law against which Oksana and Bogdan was incriminated occurred more than 2 years ago, since then the defendants have not broken any laws, worked for the benefit of the country and did not move, despite such an opportunity.

As mitigating circumstances, the defender also proved the family difficulties of both defendants.

Oksana Zaretskaya's father has health problems, Bogdan is raising a disabled child.

In her last words, Oksana Zaretskaya apologized to her family for the trials they had to endure in connection with her imprisonment.

- I thought that I could survive any punishment, but saying goodbye to relatives and exams for loved ones is the most difficult, - said Oksana.

Zaretskaya was detained on January 13, 2023.

Since then, she has been in the Minsk pre-trial detention center-1 on Volodarsky Street.
