The employees of the 14th Police Department of the Sabunchu District Police Department carried out special operations against people selling drugs in Mashtag and surrounding settlements.

According to the information given to APA by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Malik Gadimov, a resident of Mashtaga settlement, was detained because he was suspected of selling drugs.

About 5 kilograms of marijuana were found on him and in the house where he lived.

It should be noted that Malik Gadimov was one of the main people who organized the sale of drugs in Mashtaga settlement.

During the investigation, it was determined that he bought the drugs from an unidentified citizen living in Iran.

As a continuation of the operational measures, other members of the drug network created by Malik Gadimov to organize the sale of drugs in the capital were also detained.

As a continuation of the event, Izzat Abdullayev, Kanan Alakbarov, Yusif Rahimov, Teymur Khalilov and Azad Manafov were also detained.

In addition, a large amount of heroin, methamphetamine and marijuana, packaged for sale in the form of ready-made packages, was discovered from these persons.

Elnara Alakbarova, who was engaged in the sale of drugs in Savalan residential area, was also detained during another operation carried out by the officers of the 14th Police Department of the Sabunchu District Police Department.

From the house where he lives, 17 pieces of marijuana packed in matchboxes intended for sale, as well as 9 bundles of heroin and methamphetamine were found.

In her testimony, Elnara Alakbarova admitted that she was engaged in the sale of drugs.

The materials collected in the 14th Police Department related to the facts were sent to the Sabunchu District Police Department.

Police officers are resolutely continuing their efforts to arrest other people involved in illegal drug trafficking in Sabunchu region.
