For his passing away, Minister of Culture Shi Zhe expressed his deep condolences and respect. In recognition of his lifelong dedication to the film and television industry, Li Lianquan, Executive Deputy Minister, attended the farewell ceremony today (10th) and presented a medal from the Ministry of Culture. The daughter of Zhang Zhan Ms. Zhang Yushan was the recipient of the gift.

Zhang Zhan, born in 1950, was admitted to the Central Film Company in 1978. He originally worked in the lighting team and transferred to the photography team in 1980. He has served as the first assistant for many senior photographers.

In 1986, "The Terrorist" participated in a film work as a photographer for the first time.

Afterwards, he also shot many films, and won many good results in various film festivals, such as "Resentful Girl", "The Sea Is Blue", "Independent Era", "Loyal Boy", etc., and won the first place with "The Starlight of the Holy Leng". Best Cinematography at the 41st TV Golden Bell Awards, and "When Love Comes" won the Best Cinematography at the 47th Golden Horse Awards.

Zhang Zhan also served as a jury member of the Golden Horse Awards and Golden Bell Awards, inheriting solid film technology and cultivating more film technical talents. He also engaged in film teaching in addition to filming.
