Always the main highlight of the

"Oscar"

ceremony was and will be the exquisite and expensive dresses of movie actresses, in which they went out to receive their award.

Dresses from famous designers, expensive jewelry, handbags and shoes are discussed no less actively than the films themselves.

The dresses in which famous actresses went out for the cherished statuette went down in history as the most luxurious, expensive, elegant and fashionable.

Some of the outfits from the Golden Age of Hollywood still have a modern and stylish look.

On the eve of the next ceremony, where

the best film works of this year

will be announced , we offer you a look at the luxurious images of actresses who have already entered the history of cinema as the most outstanding.

Sophia Loren

In 1963, Sophia Loren took the stage to present Gregory Pecha with the Oscar for the best male role, but the actress's unusual dress attracted more attention.

The dress was white, knee-length and had a relatively simple silhouette, but the bright detail of the image was the neckline, which was decorated with many feathers and chiffon flowers.

The actress' outfit was complemented by a high evening hairstyle and large earrings in her ears.

Audrey Hepburn

In 1954, Audrey Hepburn won her first Oscar for her role in the film Roman Holiday.

She came to the ceremony in a delicate dress of "ivory" color, created by the French couturier Hubert de Givenchy.

The dress was made of beautiful lace, had thin straps that revealed the back, and a slightly full midi skirt.

The dress was an unusual choice for the Oscars, but it became an example of femininity and refined taste.

Audrey's dress was recognized as the best "Oscar" dress according to Time magazine and became one of the most expensive: at the auction of vintage clothes in 2011, it was sold for almost 132 thousand dollars.

Givenchy created many outfits for Audrey, and in some of them she appeared in her later paintings.

They met in 1953, when the actress was working on the picture "Sabrina", then she came to Paris to buy a real Parisian dress from Balenciaga for the film, but the designer refused her, advising her to visit his former student Givenchy.

After meeting, the fashion designer was subjugated to Audrey and this marked the beginning of strong professional cooperation and long-term friendship.

For the event, she wore a Christian Dior dress from the Spring-Summer 1961 Haute Couture collection, called Soiree a Rio.

The outfit was decorated with a floral pattern on a lush skirt and a belt, also with flowers.

High white gloves and

chandelier earrings

from the Ruser jewelry brand completed the look of the actress.

The collection that featured this dress marked the beginning of legendary designer Marc Bohan's career at Dior.

This collection featured a new Slim Look, which was a new version of the iconic Dior New Look silhouette.

After seeing the collection, Taylor fell in love with it and immediately ordered 12 outfits, this dress being one of them.
