PARENTS and guardians have been asked to stop the habit of letting their children watch immoral cartoons instead talk to them to find out the challenges they face in schools, homes and on the streets in order to control incidents of violence.

Speaking to the women of Arusha City in the celebration of International Women's Day, with the Head of Arusha District, Felician Mutahengerwa said that if a parent finds out that the channels show signs of homosexuality or humiliation, they should take action to control incidents of violence.

"Sexual acts of violence still continue, especially against women and children, including male children who are still being forgotten even though they are subjected to various kinds of violence." he said.

Statistics show that for the year 2022 there were 8,647 reported acts of sexual violence, 12,515 psychological violence and 5,781 sexual violence.

Arusha Regional Community Development Officer, Blandina Nkini thanked the government for providing loans of sh,1,390,193,600 for the financial year 2022/23 where 121 women's groups, 42 young people and 2 disabled people
