This red carpet appearance was the first for the actress since the sad news of the death of her younger brother Jensen Panettiere, who passed away at the age of 28 on February 19.

Jensen's sudden death was caused by cardiomegaly, which is an increase in the size and weight of the heart.

Hours before hitting the red carpet, Panettiere also gave her first interview since the loss of her younger brother on Good Morning America, where host Michael Straughan expressed his condolences.
