Measures are being taken by police officers to prevent the sale of tobacco products to minors.

According to the information given to APA by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, several kiosks and markets selling tobacco products to minors were discovered during the event carried out by the Sumgayit City Police Department.

Preventive conversations were held with sellers who sell tobacco products to minors.

During the event, 10 facilities selling tobacco products to minors were discovered.

A protocol was drawn up on the owners of those facilities under Article 455.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (violation of the rules of trade in ethyl (edible) alcohol, alcoholic beverages or tobacco products).

Regular measures will be continued by police officers against persons selling tobacco products to minors in Sumgayit city.
