During the month of February, the Anti-Narcotics Department of the Sabunchu District Police Department, as well as the employees of the local police departments and units, continued operations against people involved in illegal drug trafficking in Bakikhanov, Balakhani, Ramana, Zabrat, Bilgah, Pirshagi Kurdakhani, Mashtagha settlements and other areas.

According to the information given to APA by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 81 people involved in illegal drug trafficking were detained during the operations.

During the investigation, it was determined that several of the detainees were previously convicted for committing the same crimes, that is, for organizing the illegal circulation of drugs.

21 kilograms of heroin, marijuana and methamphetamine, which is a psychotropic substance, were found on those persons and in their houses.

It was noted that several of the detained persons were found to have stolen from houses and facilities in Sabunchu district.

Criminal proceedings have been initiated against each of them in the Department's Investigation Department.

In Sabunchu district, police officers are continuing to take measures to arrest other people involved in illegal drug trafficking.
