American scientists have done research and found that even one conversation a day with a friend can reduce stress levels and increase the feeling of well-being, writes "Communication Research".

The study involved over 900 people who were asked to communicate with friends at a specific time.

At the end of the day, the participants had to describe how they felt.

Psychologists have become interested in concepts such as well-being, loneliness, stress and anxiety.

The results show that even just one conversation with a friend once a day is enough to make a person feel better.

Communication increases feelings of attachment and reduces stress levels.

If people talk to their friends more times during the day, well-being scores also increase.

Women's Ways to Release Stress

"The more you listen to your friends, the more you care, the more time you take to value other people's opinions, the better you feel at the end of the day," says University of Kansas researcher Jeffrey Hall.

Scientists also note that telephone conversations are fully capable of replacing personal communication between friends.

However, this does not apply to text messages, writes the channel Vbox7.
