The number of medical institutions (private and medical institutions subordinated to relevant state bodies) contracted by the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance (Agency) has been increased to 115 in order to increase citizens' access to medical services within the framework of the Service Envelope.

This was reported by APA Agency.

It should be noted that among the cities and regions where contract medical institutions operate, in addition to Baku, Ganja and Sumgait, Guba, Gusar, Ismayilli, Gabala, Zagatala, Kurdamir, Mingachevir, Sabirabad, Imishli, Salyan, Masalli, Lankaran, Barda, Shamkir and Tovuz there is also

82% of the mentioned medical institutions belong to the cities of Baku, Ganja and Sumgayit, and 18% to the regions.

For your information, 2,550 medical services are provided to citizens under the Service Envelope of compulsory medical insurance.

Citizens can use those medical services in state medical institutions under the public legal entity "Medical Territorial Units Management Union" (TABIB).

If it is not possible to provide the relevant service in the state medical institutions under TABIB, referral is made to the medical institutions contracted by the Agency.

When a citizen applies to a contracted medical facility on the basis of a referral form, he/she benefits from medical services free of charge within the scope of the Service Envelope.

When a citizen applies directly to contracted medical institutions without a referral form, he benefits from medical services at his own expense.

The list, address and contact numbers of the medical institutions with which the agency has signed contracts are posted on the agency's official website (https://its.gov.az/page/agentliyin-mugavile-bagladigi-tibb-muessiselerinin-siyahisi?page=1).

It should be noted that the number of contracted medical institutions is regularly updated.
