"FOCASA Circus Art Festival" invites friends of all ages to come to Tainan for 228 consecutive vacations to pursue their dreams.

[Reporter Hong Ruiqin/Tainan Report] The 1st "FOCASA Circus Art Festival" will be held at Shuikangshe soon. Tainan Mayor Huang Weizhe introduced it yesterday (15th), and gave free admission tickets to public welfare organizations, inviting everyone to come Watch performances and go treasure hunting in the Shujiu Social Park.

The Circus Art Festival is co-hosted by "FOCA Formosa Circus" and the Nanshi Cultural Bureau. It will present the most authentic circular stage. Not only is the circus tent with a diameter of 32 meters a major highlight, but it will also include people from France and Australia. Circus artists from 8 countries and regions, including South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Cambodia, Malaysia, and the landlord Taiwan, have performed more than 150 performances in 30 groups for 7 consecutive days, bringing the public fantastic performances and visions with many surprising activities enjoy.

Mayor Huang Weizhe said that FOCA Formosa Circus regards Tainan as its base, allowing Tainan's children to have more dreams and childhood memories than children in other regions.

After making its debut in Tainan last year (2022), the circus will return to perform in the Shuijiao Community Park again this year, inviting everyone to welcome the "First Year of the Circus" in Tainan City.

Lin Zhiwei, the founding director of the Formosa Circus, said that since he was invited to participate in the eye-opening performance in Avignon-Trans-France more than 10 years ago, he has always wanted to build a circus art festival brand belonging to Taiwan. Now his dream has come true and he hopes to develop young people's performances stage, and bring more people bravery and confidence with the magical power of the circus.

The Circus Art Festival will be staged at Shuijiaoshe from February 22 to 28. The performing group includes Phare-The Cambodian Circus, which was praised by CNN Travel as "Southeast Asia Cirque du Soleil". The performance code is rich in Cambodian history and culture, full of strength and Combined with modern circus; FOCA Formosa Circus will bring two works of different styles, "Mashiren" and "Circus Party". Among them, "Circus Party" sold out early bird tickets two weeks ago.

The park also plans a "jumping candy stage", high-altitude QQ candy, walking rope elephant skin candy, and a style market, allowing the public to experience different urban atmospheres.
