[Reporter Xu Shiying/Comprehensive Report] Disney's live-action version of "The Little Mermaid" revealed a new 30-second trailer today (16). Many classic scenes were reproduced in the film, including "Kiss the girl" on the lake, played by Jonah Holkin. Prince Eric, played by Marisa McCarthy, and the villain Ursula played by Marisa McCarthy both made their first appearances, especially Ursula's magical laughter at the end sparked discussion among movie fans.

The film was directed by Robert Marshall, the director of "Chicago". In 2019, it was announced that Holly Bailey would play the protagonist Ariel, which caused controversy. Because Ariel's red hair and white skin in the animation was deeply rooted in the hearts of the people, the casting results were once criticized. "Completely deviates from the original character", but some people think that multi-racial casting can inject new atmosphere into the story. With the exposure of the previous trailer, Holly proved her strength with her beautiful singing voice, which also changed many people's views.

"The Little Mermaid" will be released in Taiwan on May 25.
