[Reporter Lin Huiqin/Taipei Report] Taiwan's search and rescue team flew to Turkey to rescue and rescue the disaster. The rescue work ended after the Turkish government decided to send heavy machinery into the disaster area for excavation. The team's 130 members and 5 search and rescue dogs arrived at 2:46 pm today. At Taoyuan Airport, 4 of the doctors and nurses returned to the Taipei Veterans General at around 5:00 pm. Dean Chen Weiming led his colleagues to warmly welcome them.

Chen Weiming embraced these heroes to express his gratitude. In the harsh environment and severe cold weather in the disaster area, in addition to protecting the health of the search and rescue team members, he also helped rescue the victims.

The four doctors and nurses also pointed out that when they entered the disaster area, they deeply felt the horror of natural disasters and the fragility of life. The successful completion of the disaster relief mission was due to the solid training on weekdays and the good tacit understanding established with the special search team of the Taipei Fire Department. We are proud of our contribution to the earthquake disaster in Turkey.

The Taipei Veterans General Emergency Department and the special search team of the Taipei City Fire Department signed a memorandum of cooperation in 2019. To cooperate with the fire department's attendance, a doctor and a nurse are required to accompany the team for care.

Usually, medical staff are dispatched to participate in various training courses and exercises of the fire department. Through close information exchange and personnel exchanges, they are familiar with each other and establish a good tacit understanding, and cooperate closely in the implementation of major disaster rescue and other related matters.

In response to the earthquake in Turkey, 4 Beirong medical staff accompanied the search and rescue team of the Taipei City Fire Department to the local area to assist in disaster relief.

The first elevator is Wang Zeyao, a doctor of the disaster medicine department of the emergency department, and Yang Shujuan, a nurse, who set off on the evening of February 6. The second elevator is Huang Xianhao, the director of the disaster medicine department of the emergency department, and Cai Huiqing, a nurse nurse, who set off on the evening of February 7.

The Beirong Emergency Department has participated in the rescue of many major disasters and accidents in China, such as the 921 earthquake in the early years, the recent Puyuma derailment accident, the collapse of the Nanfangao Bridge, and the incident of a tour bus crashing into a mountain.
