According to the information given to APA by DIN, Ahad Gadirov, who lives in that settlement, was arrested during the operation and submitted to the investigation.

A large amount of heroin - about 2 kilograms - was found on him and in the house where he lived.

Ahad Gadirov said in his testimony that he met an Iranian citizen named "Araz" some time ago, and later agreed to his offer of drug courier service in the country in exchange for financial income.

He said that the person smuggled the drug to Azerbaijan with the purpose of selling it.

The materials collected at the Gobu Police Station were sent to the Absheron District Police Department, and investigative measures are being continued.
