Members of the Board of the Press Council visited the Turkish embassy in Azerbaijan.

APA reports that the members of the Board of the Press Council first laid a wreath in front of the plaque installed in memory of the people who lost their lives in the earthquake in Turkey.

Later, the members of the Management Board met with the Ambassador of Turkey to Azerbaijan, Cahit Bagchi.

Chairman of the Azerbaijan Press Council, Rashad Majid, said that the people of Azerbaijan, including Azerbaijani journalists, were affected by the great tragedy in Turkey, and that they experienced this tragedy with the same feelings as the people of Turkey.

At the same time, it was noted that since the day of the incident, Azerbaijani journalists were sent to the scene, and they worked side by side with Turkish journalists in the area of ​​the earthquake.

Rashad Majid drew attention to the fact that our media continuously covered the humanitarian aid and our deep sorrow expressing the feelings of the Azerbaijani people regarding the incident.

Ambassador of Turkey to Azerbaijan Cahit Bagchi thanked the people of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani press for their support since the first day of the earthquake, and thanked the Azerbaijani press for spreading and demonstrating the tragedy in Turkey as a tragedy of a nation, as well as for mobilizing their work at the highest level.

Cahit Bağçı highly appreciated the aid campaigns of journalists in Azerbaijan, the full presentation of people's feelings and excitement, and at the same time, their professional activities in the earthquake region.

The ambassador emphasized that the peoples of Azerbaijan and Turkey once again showed their brotherhood during the tragedy.
