As we reported, 6 families from the earthquake region in Turkey were brought to Azerbaijan on February 10.

There were 10 children and 12 adults among the citizens.

APA reports that the families were admitted to a medical institution for examination and treatment.

Today, a statement was made to journalists at the Scientific Research Pediatric Institute about the current situation of those families.

At the same time, the families shared their impressions of the moment of the earthquake and talked about their current situation.

Father Yusuf Kara, the father of 4-month-old Neshet Alp Kara from Gaziantep, said that they stayed outside for 3 days after the earthquake.

"When the earthquake happened, we went outside and aftershocks continued, we could not enter the house. It was a terrible earthquake, we were very shaken."

Ulviyya Hasanova, the mother of 6-month-old Kan Güney, said that when the earthquake occurred, they woke up to the sound of the child's voice.

"It was about 4 o'clock, we woke up to the sound of the child. We took the child and ran outside. Although the building we live in did not collapse, there were cracks. There are no physical injuries, but we are very psychologically shaken."

Gulnara Gadimova, the mother of Enver Can Ozkap, who was born 4 days before the earthquake, said that although the child developed jaundice due to stress, his condition is improving now:

"We lived in a 3-story building in Gaziantep. During the earthquake, we ran outside barefoot. The building we lived in was an old building, there were cracks. We stayed outside for 3 days. We tried to warm ourselves by putting up small tents and a fire. We were in a desperate situation."

According to him, there were no noticeable earthquakes in the area before:

"Everyone says that this is the first time an earthquake has happened here. The city is almost destroyed. Our relatives who stay there say that even if they go to the house for 5-10 minutes to warm up, they stay outside. Almost all the new buildings have collapsed."

Gulnara told Gadimova that they will stay in Azerbaijan for some time.
