Talking about that first meeting, Meghan said that it was strange for her that the royal couple (William and Kate) observed all the formality not only in public, but also behind closed doors.

Meghan, meeting the guests that evening, rushed to hug Kate, but she allegedly did not reciprocate.

After which Meghan concluded that the Welsh followed this line of behavior, both in public and at home.

Soon after, a friend of the Princess of Wales refuted Meghan Markle's words, saying that Kate likes to hug.

"She's warm and friendly and greets everyone with big hugs and kisses. It's natural for her to be that way," she said at the time.

And this week, the audience had the opportunity to see these words.

During a visit to the National Maritime Museum in Cornwall, the Princess of Wales met her former teacher Jim Embury in the crowd.

She not only threw herself into his arms, but also spoke sweetly, remembering his lessons.

The Princess of Wales also met this week with Captain Preeta Chandy, who returned from an expedition through Antarctica.

And their warm embrace was also caught on camera.

Maybe Meghan just lied a little bit about Katherine or Katherine just doesn't treat everyone that way.

Maybe she just didn't want to hug the Duchess of Sussex, and Meghan thought that the princess behaved like that with everyone around her.
