With this simple recipe, you will be able to make your own chocolate dessert that resembles the famous American brownie cake in taste and texture.

To prepare chocolate desserts, choose chocolate with a high cocoa content (at least 72%).

Bars with a lower percentage of cocoa content melt worse because thickeners and cocoa butter substitutes are added to them.

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs

  • 200 g dark chocolate 70%

  • 140 g of sugar

  • 100 g of flour

  • 60 g of butter

  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder

  • pinch of salt

  • powdered sugar

Cooking time:

90 minutes

Step-by-step preparation:

1. Melt dark chocolate and butter in a water bath.

When the mixture becomes homogeneous, let it cool a little.

2. Beat eggs with sugar in a separate bowl.

Then add the chocolate mass, mix well.

Here we sift the flour, add baking powder and a pinch of salt.

Knead the elastic dough.

3. Cover the bowl with a film and send it to the freezer for 30-40 minutes so that the mass hardens a little and does not spread during baking.

In the refrigerator, the dough will harden longer, it will take an hour or two.

4. When the dough has risen, form small balls, roll them in powdered sugar and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment in a checkerboard pattern.

During baking, the cookies will increase in size, but will not stick to each other.

5. Bake for 12-15 minutes at a temperature of 180 °C.

It may seem to you that the cookies are not ready yet and are too soft, but you should not add time.

When the cookies cool, the mass will stabilize and become more elastic, but the cookies will retain a delicate texture and will not dry out.
