The "Metropolitan" museum of New York has changed the name of the painting "Russian Dancer" by the French impressionist painter Edgar Degas.

APA reports with reference to TASS that this was announced on the website of the museum.

The title of the work was changed to "Dancer in Ukrainian costume".

In addition, in the painting, the information that Degas painted a series of works about Russian dancers in 1899 was changed to "he painted dancers in Ukrainian national costumes".
