Participating in the 61st session of the UN Social Development Commission, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Anar Karimov met with Esra Ceceli, director of the Service for Persons with Disabilities and the Elderly of the Ministry of Family and Social Services of Turkey, who participated in the event.

According to the information given to APA by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, Anar Karimov expressed his condolences to the victims of the earthquake that occurred in Turkey these days and wished the injured to recover soon.

The Deputy Minister emphasized the friendly and brotherly relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey, that the two countries are always at each other's side.

He noted that cooperation relations between our countries in the social field are constantly expanding.

In accordance with the tasks of President Ilham Aliyev, the social reforms carried out in our country in recent years, as well as the work done to cover vulnerable groups with care, were mentioned.

Information was given on the activities of the DOST Inclusive Development and Creativity Center, which was established on the initiative of the First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, and the work of supporting the development of the creative potential of vulnerable groups in the Center.

The importance of the cooperation document signed in July of last year between the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population and the Ministry of Family and Social Services of Turkey in the development of relations was brought to attention.

In the meeting, issues of future cooperation and exchange of experience were discussed in the field of social protection of persons with disabilities and the elderly, rehabilitation-oriented social services.



Within the framework of the session, there was also a meeting between A. Karimov and the Minister of Labor and Social Welfare of Montenegro, Admir Adrovic, the co-chairman of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Governments of Azerbaijan and Montenegro.

It should be noted that the co-chairman of that Joint Commission is Sahil Babayev, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.

At the meeting, it was emphasized that relations between Azerbaijan and Montenegro based on high-level political dialogue and friendly relations are constantly developing.

The role of the 18 cooperation documents signed between the two countries in the past period in the development of relations was discussed, and it was noted that draft documents on bilateral cooperation were prepared in a number of fields, as well as between the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population and the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare of Montenegro.

A. Adrovich said that he plans to visit Baku in the near future.

There was an exchange of views on future cooperation between the two Ministries, as well as preparation for the next meeting of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Governments of Azerbaijan and Montenegro.
