[Reporter Liu Wanjun/Tainan Report] The Tainan Shanshang Garden Waterway Museum is the only nationally designated historic site among the national waterway facilities. It uses a unique "two pumping and three delivery" water delivery system to take raw water from Zengwenxi for treatment and transport it to Tainan City, 20 kilometers away. .

The latest installation art created by the museum reproduces the entire construction process, making complex scientific principles clear at a glance.

The Shanshang Garden Waterway Museum was formerly known as the former Tainan Waterway, designed by Japanese technician Yashiro Hamano. The new installation art in the museum reproduces the "two draws and three deliveries" water delivery system.

The Waterway Museum pointed out that in the Tainan waterway 100 years ago, water was taken from Zengwenxi River and introduced into the sedimentation tank (first pumping). After initial sedimentation, it was sent to the fast filter tank room along the terrain (first delivery), and then filtered and then released to the lower delivery pump. room (second delivery), and then use the power of the pump to pump (second pumping) to the clean water pool 1.8 kilometers away, and then release the water from the clean water pool to Tainan City (third delivery). The whole process of "two pumping and three delivery" should be considered It is a fairly advanced design in terms of power, height difference, distance and water pipe friction. The entire system covers an area of 56 hectares and the distance exceeds 20 kilometers.

The museum pointed out that the Shanshang Garden Waterway Museum was formerly known as the former Tainan Waterway. During the Japanese occupation period, it was designed and planned by technician Yashiro Hamano. It was completed in 1922. The existing design manuscripts, including buildings and pumps, are important display resources of the museum.

In order to make it easier for the public to understand the principle of "two draws and three deliveries" of the Tainan waterway, the museum, with the assistance of legislator Guo Guowen, won a subsidy from the Ministry of Culture last year. According to the design manuscript of the Japanese occupation period, through 3D modeling, the landscape was created. Beside the pool, a model with a length of 3 meters, a width of 1.2 meters, and a height of 1.5 meters presents the entire water purification process, making it the most educational installation art for visitors.

Li Fengnan, a professional guide of the Waterway Museum, said that the equipment in the Waterway Museum is the "second draw" and "first and second giveaway" in the "two draws and three giveaways". Due to geographical restrictions, it is difficult for the public to fully associate , and the model makes the abstract process and knowledge concrete, and with text descriptions and explanations, the public can more easily understand the operation of the entire waterway system.
