Wu Nianzhen mentioned that the most important thing in his life was influenced by Cloud Gate, because when he was in college, his friend gave him a very cheap ticket to watch Cloud Gate’s "Liao Tianding" at the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall, but it was very strange. The people who appeared at the National Theater felt like they were going to watch a wild stage play. They sat down and looked around and reminded each other to keep their voices down, and there were a few pictures.

At the beginning of the performance, Lin Huaimin said, "Today is the story of Liao Tianding, I believe everyone is familiar with it, so if you want to clap your hands later, or feel sad or cry, feel free to do so." Wu Nianzhen said that the biggest revelation to him that day was that maybe he would never be an artist in his life, but at least the things he created should be close to everyone, and that would be a great thing, "This is Yunmen and Lin Huaimin Tell me”, this concept will often appear after many years, which is why he later said that “popularity is a kind of skill”. The setting of "Liao Tianding" is the Xiahai Town God's Temple, and there are "Eight Generals" in it. Cloud Gate was founded in 1973 and took dancers to Yunlin to learn "Eight Generals" turned out to be "terribly ugly" when it was performed on the stage, because there was no focus, and it finally got its real destination in "Liao Tianding".

"Liao Tianding" toured for several years, and then the set props were all stored in a basement, but one year a severe typhoon was all reimbursed, and then it was not performed again.

But now Lin Huaimin blew himself up. The real reason was not the typhoon, but "I can't do it anymore because I'm not Wu Nianzhen." Lin Huaimin said that because he didn't have a real childhood "life", he only had to study since he was a child. There is only the concept, going home after school, no way to play outside, no chance to see how people "live" on the street.

"So after finishing "Liao Tianding", I couldn't play any tricks. Later, I came up with the trilogy "Xingcao". They all use conceptual things to deal with the so-called aesthetic issues."
