The Secretary General of Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), has been angered by the neglect of Mikese Health Center in Morogoro region which was completed more than three years ago but is not being used to provide services to the people.

So he has given 14 days to the Minister of Regional Administration and Local Government (Tamisemi), Angela Kairuki to come to the station to see the real situation.

Chongolo said this today immediately after inspecting the center, while continuing his visit to Morogoro region, to check the implementation of development projects, the vitality of the party and talk to the people.

Reading a brief report on the construction of the station, the Acting Executive of Mikese Ward, Piencia Mushi said that the construction started in 2019 after the demolition of Zanahati Kijiji to allow for the construction of Modern Railways (SGR).

He said that the construction was started by the Yapi Merkez Company which was required to pay compensation for the clinic that was demolished to allow for the construction of the railway and the cost of the building was Sh105 million and the cost of medical equipment was Sh200 million.

In addition, the second phase, the construction of buildings such as an operating room, a servant's house, a laboratory, a morgue and a mother and child building has cost 400 million shillings and the council added 60.5 million shs.

However, despite all that, the center is still not in use and the services provided are of a professional level.

Speaking about that, Chongolo was annoyed by the situation and said that the government has sent money so that its people can get services but some executives are not fulfilling their responsibilities which also makes some people start to wonder about President Samia Suluhu Hassan.

"Our people here are staying locally and they are not fulfilling their responsibilities, I will contact the Minister of Tamisemi and within 14 days, he should come here and see for himself, the equipment is just sitting when the services are supposed to be provided," said Chongolo.
